End of Year Festivities06/03/09

The end of the year team party is taking place on Sunday, 6/7. An Evite should be in everyones inbox. Please respond to the invitation so that food and beverages can be purchased accordingly. The party will be at Rocky's abode at 1pm. Food and beer will be provided...we'll also be giving out awards. Please plan on attending.

Voting for awards; D1 MVP, D2 MVP, Rookie of the Year and Most Improved are happening now. Current players can find a link to the voting in their inbox.

ALC will be participating in several fall tournaments including UT and A&M. Several tournaments outside the state of Texas are also in the works. Stay tuned.

Austin Lacrosse Club: 2009 SWLA Champions!06/03/09

Playoff Time05/29/09

ALC's D1 and D2 teams will travle to Dallas this weekend to compete in the 2009 SWLA Championships. All games will be played at Carroll Intermediate School at 1101 N Carroll Ave, Southlake, TX.

The D2 looks to take home the trophy in its first season Saturday, May 30th at 4PM verse Coppell.

In addition to the D2 championship game, the D1 final four will also take place on Saturday, May 30th. The first game is at noon and pits #2 Big D verse #3 PBR. Our top seeded, and undefeated D1 team will play in the second game at 2PM verse #4 North Dallas. The winner of each game will play in the championship game at 2PM on Sunday, May 31st. A consolation game will be played at noon.

Post game festivities will take place at Blackfinn, 4440 Belt Line Rd, Addison, TX, where cold beer will be flowing from 6PM-2AM. There will be food and drink specials all night. Everyone is invited!!

Undefeated Season

Austin's D1 team finished the season undefeated with wins over PBR and San Antonion this past weekend. The team hopes to keep their win streak going in Dallas on May 30th and 31st at the SWLA Championships.

The end of the year party will be the weekend of June 6th/7th. The location is still being determined.

On another note Austin Summer League starts May 29th. Summer league is a great opportunity to play competitive lacrosse and stay in shape. Please visit Southswell Sports for registration information.

2 Game Weekend

After a slow start the Austin D1 team successfully defeated Lake Houston 12-9 on the road last weekend. The D1 team hopes to conintue its dominance this weekend, May 9th and 10th, when they take on PBR on Saturday and San Antonion on Sunday. Both games will be played in South Austin around Stassney and Manchaca. Please bring your friends and family out for a fun weekend of lacrosse.

Lake Houston Update

Both Austin's D1 and D2 teams will combine to face Lake Houston this weekend, May 3rd, at 2 p.m. at River Grove Park in Kingwood, Texas.

Season Update

Both Austin's D1 and D2 teams currently reside at the top of the respective divisions. The D1 team is currently 3-0 after beating PBR last weekend in Houston. D2 leads the South division with a record of 4-1. As the season begins to wind down there are a few key schedule updates that can be seen below.
